More flexibility with the splitter for the blow-off valve

Whether you should choose an open or closed blow-off valve is ultimately a matter of taste. With a closed system, the air circulates: boost pressure is built up in the intake manifold, the piston is lifted and finally the air flows back in front of the throttle cap. The advantage: idling remains stable and the engine's response is therefore ideal. With the open pop-off valve, the air escapes with every shift - and thus the characteristic "whoosh" occurs when the boost pressure is released. This is music to the ears of many motorsport fans. But since the disadvantages of an unstable idle can arise here, we recommend the splitter: it can run completely open or only partially open, so that 30 percent of the charge air escapes. This creates the characteristic whoosh effect and the idle remains largely stable. And if you want, you can also close the divert-air valve completely - with the splitter, you have the greatest possible flexibility!
